First and most important… I is not trying to be alpha. I is very happy being Dexter. I do not want to be the boss or dominant or alpha or anything else. I doesn’t even know what all of that means! I just want to do things that makes me happy.
If I eats your dinner that you left on the side, it’s not because I is being alpha. It’s becoz your dinner smelt yummy.
If I refuse to move when I am sleeping across a doorway, it’s not because I is being alpha. It’s because I is super comfy and super lazy.
If I pull on the lead or shove you out of the way to get in front of you, it’s not because I is being alpha. It’s because I is super excited and want to get there fast.
If I jump up and try to hump you, it’s not because I is being alpha. It’s because I like humping – it feels nice and I am excited (yep, even when my doggy bits have gone)!
